• Some healthy tips to prevent constipation from happening:
  
  • Eat more fiber in your diet. Recommended daily intake is 20-35g
  • Drink 8-10 glasses of water per day
  • Exercise regularly at least 3 times per week
  • Do not hold in  stool as that can worsen bowel issues
• Take it after a gap of 2 hours from other medicines, as it may interfere with the absorption of other medicines.
• It is usually taken once a day as needed for up to 2 weeks. Do not take a larger dose, take it more often, or take it for a longer period than your doctor tells you to.
• Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach disorders such as appendicitis or a blockage in your bowel.

• Children 6 to 12 years: ½ to 1 spoonful with water, depending on age and size, in the morning and at bedtime or as per doctor's advice.
• Children below 6 years: Not recommended except as directed by the physician.
• An additional glass of water is helpful after taking this gel.
• Granules/Powder: Dissolve in a full glass of water or other liquids, stir well, and drink immediately after meals.

Interaction

No significant interactions have been observed with other medicines.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients with gastrointestinal tract obstruction or threatening obstruction of the bowel.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Your doctor may suggest Fibosyl Effervescent Powder to cure your constipation during pregnancy. Constipation in pregnancy occurs when your intestines are squished with the baby's presence in the womb.

It is not known if Fibosyl Effervescent Powder passes into breast milk. Please consult your doctor before taking Fibosyl Effervescent Powder if you are breastfeeding.

Precautions & Warnings

Inform your doctor if you are using any other medications, herbal products, or vitamin supplements before taking Ispaghula Husk.

Let your doctor know if you have any of the following conditions before starting Ispaghula Husk:

• Stomach or intestinal blockage
• Appendicitis
• Swallowing problems
• Rectal bleeding
• Diabetes
• Phenylketonuria (increased levels of phenylalanine)
• Reduced bowel movements

Ispaghula Husk must be taken with enough liquid to prevent difficulty swallowing, chest pain, and vomiting. If you need to take Ispaghula Husk at night, ensure you drink a proper amount of liquid at least one hour before bed to avoid gut blockage or swallowing problems during sleep.
